crazy weather
The Hurricane is coming our way! Yep, we are in the path of the first hurricane of the season, Hurricane Alex. I am kind of nervous because I have never experienced any sort of natural disaster in my life besides a blizzard...which really doesn't even count. Paul is excited. Typical :).
It is pretty crazy down here. Everyone is stocking up on the essentials and the grocery stores are pretty empty and pretty busy. (that was a lot of "prettys") Businesses have boarded up their windows and everything is closed.
One perk I am enjoying as we speak is getting work off. All the schools decided to close down for the rest of the week and then Monday is a holiday so I get a six day payed vacation! The down side is that I can't really do anything out of the house because of the extreme weather conditions. Another down side is that everything is closed and therefore we can't go see Eclipse! Oh the tragedy!!! Hopefully they will open ASAP for us Twilight fans. ;)
Wish us luck surviving through the storm! Some people are freaking out and others are not even reacting and I have no idea what to think so we will see. Right now it is just raining ALOT and windy but the worst of it is suppose to be tonight. Hopefully our roof stays on, ha ha JK.
I'll see if I can catch pictures of the crazy rain! Any of you wanting a perfect kiss in the rain, now would be a good time to get one!

Pretty and Pink
I (Corinne) have been bored with our blog design and have been wanting to change it for a while now but I just couldn't find one that wasn't too girly (for Paul's sake) but still looked awesome. So after much contemplation I have decided to just give up, give in, and go all out girly (as you can see). I figure if I am going to make it a little girly I might as well go all the way and make it as feminine as possible, pink flowers and all. Do you like it?!
However this means that Paul and I made a deal that the next time we change our design it is going to be super masculine. He is thinking something with motorcycles. So enjoy the girly layout for now because next up is all boy! (It's a good thing we don't make our home decorating decisions the same way we make our blog decorating decisions ;) )

A VERY MERRY BIRTHDAY PAUL!
HAPPY 28TH BIRTHDAY PAUL!
That's right, Paul is now 28. We had a rockin', sweet birthday celebration for him! First of all, I made a car cake that was a replica of his favorite car that he has owned, his red MR2. He ALWAYS talks about the good old days in his MR2 and how sweet it was so I thought I would bring back the memories. I ran out of red food coloring though so it ended up being more of a pink MR2 than a red one. I am also no master cake creater (like my stepmom Nancy) so it is not that amazing but it worked. Then we went to Peter Piper Pizza to celebrate. It was just like we were kids again. We ordered pizza, bought a bunch of tokens, and played around on all the games. My favorite was ski-ball. That game is the BEST! Then we got the jackpot on this one weird game so we were able to get a bunch of sweet prizes that are basically worthless.
I got him two seasons of Rob and Big; that MTV show, so we watched that the rest of the night. It was awesome! He has a lot to live up to for my birthday in two months! Ha ha ha jk ;)...but seriously.

Texas sized adventure!
We are officially moved in! I unpacked the last box and hung up the last picture! Here are some pics of our new place...
We are liking it here so far! We like living a the hotel because it gives us access to a swimming pool, tennis courts, a gym, and good food. Paul is enjoying his new job. Everyone has been nice and welcoming at the hotel and at our church. We are excited to find some good friends.
The temperature sits around the 70's. It is SO nice. There are lots and lots of palm trees! We went and explored the beach at South Padre. It was awesome! We are very excited to spend a lot of summer day there.
Hopefully things will continue to go well. So far so good. We like the area so far and are excited to get to know it better and like it even more. We are excited to visit some of the "close-by" cities like Dallas, San Antonio, New Orleans, etc.
Come and visit anytime! We will continue to keep you updated!
"Roadtrip! Let's all go!" -Legally Blonde
We left Logan VERY early in the morning on February 10th. We stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming and saw the worlds largest cowboy boot! (at least the biggest that I have ever seen).
Our first night we stayed in Denver. we drove through the city the next morning and took some fun pictures. We found the worlds largest blue bear!
The second day we arrived in Texas! there was snow on the ground. We thought we were getting away from the snow but apparently not yet.
We stayed the night in Lubbock, Texas the second night. There wasn't much to do in Lubbock but we did find the world largest heart in honor of Valentines Day!
Our third day on the road we had a short drive to San Antonio. We loved it there! The freeways are really high and scary. There is one that is REALLY high and tilted so you felt like you are going to go over the edge. We spent the day enjoying the city. We went to a Mexican restaurant that was decorated really crazy! All their ceilings are decorated like this.
Then we walked around the city. We saw the Alamo and then went to the river walk. The river walk is where the river runs through the city and you can walk along it; there are lots of shops and cafes along the way and you can get a boat ride down the river; like in Italy...kind of! haha. It was really pretty.
